What does the $995 fee cover?
It covers our search service: discussing your requirements, searching for potential matches, contacting candidates and introducing people for you to consider. The full service terms are provided before you proceed.
Do you find both caregivers and home helpers?
Yes. These are our two main search services. We can also look for someone with a suitable combination of caregiving and household skills.
Will I need to search profiles myself?
No. We carry out the candidate search for you and share potential matches. You review the people introduced, speak with those you wish to interview and decide whom to hire.
Who employs and pays the person I choose?
You arrange the ongoing working relationship directly with the selected person and pay them directly. CaregiverAgency.ca provides the search service and does not employ the person to deliver hourly care to you.
Do you charge an ongoing commission?
No. We do not add an hourly commission to the work of the person you hire through our search service.
Do you focus on full-time roles?
Yes. Our main focus is full-time caregivers and home helpers for ongoing household roles. Tell us your proposed schedule so we can discuss the search.
Can you search for live-in and live-out candidates?
Yes. Include your preferred arrangement when you enquire. For live-in roles, please explain the accommodation and working hours.
Can one person provide care and help with household tasks?
Yes, where the person's skills and the workload suit the combination. Tell us your essential duties so we can search around the role you actually need.
Is hiring directly always cheaper?
No. The result depends on the pay agreed, hours worked, employer costs and what an alternative agency includes.
Can I use government funding to pay my caregiver?
If you receive funding that permits direct hiring, you may be able to use it for eligible caregiver costs. Confirm the rules with your program before committing. We do not determine eligibility or guarantee reimbursement.
How long will the search take?
Timing depends on your location, schedule, budget and candidate requirements. Submitting an enquiry does not guarantee a hire by a particular date.
Do I pay when I submit the enquiry form?
No. Payment arrangements and service terms are explained before the search begins.
